Delaware Valley Farm Study Center Annual Harvest Festival

Every year our annual Harvest Festival gets better and better! There are ongoing activities, such as Pumpkin Painting for the kids (of all ages!) , animals to pet, storytelling with Terri Lewis and Maddie the miniature Horse, facepainting, hayjumping, and much, much more! It’s held at our picturesque Farm at the Pennsylvania end of the Frenchtown/Uhlerstown Bridge over the Delaware River, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Frenchtown.

The past couple of years our workshops have gotten such a great response that we’re extending the festival over three days so that we can offer more of them. This is truly a family event, with activities which will appeal to all ages and interests.

Friday, 9/16, 3PM until 6:30- from 3 to 4 pm there’s a Yoga workshop for anyone interested, from beginner to expert. 4 to 5:30 pm we’ll be Cooking with Seasonal Foods, and most likely eating our workshop product. Even better, we get to do the same after our 5:30 to 6:30PM Ice Cream Making Workshop!

Saturday, 9/17, 9AM until the band stops! 9am until 10am we’ll be doing Yoga, then from 10am until 11:30am our Crafting with Recyclables workshop will be going strong. If you’ve never seen a Chainsaw Art Presentation, you’ll be able to watch from 11:30am until 12:30pm. Also from 11:30 until 12:30 we’ll be having a Timber Framing Workshop and a Photography Workshop. Crafting in the Wild Gardenwill be held from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm. From 2:30pm until 3:30pm you’ll have a choice between our Cheese Making Workshop and our Beekeeping demonstration. Ever wonder how Fireworks work? Find out at our Understanding Fireworks demonstration from 4:00pm until 5:00pm. For the kids we’ll offer a Puppet Show from 5:15 until 6:00pm, then from 6:00 pm on we offer dinner and MUSIC!

Sunday, 9/18, 9AM until 4:30pm. Yoga will again be offered from 9:00am until 10:00am. Then from 10:00am until 11:00am we’ll be offering a workshop in Floral Arranging with Things from Nature. Our Creative Journalling workshop will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm. Then from 1:00pm until 3:00pm you’ll have a choice of the Values Clarification Workshop, a demonstration on Creating Fences from Nature or our Teeshirt PaintingWorkshop. Then we wrap it up from 3:30pm until 4:30pm with our workshop on Making Positive Connections.
